Veterans Memorial Park is a deeply respected site in Port St. Lucie, Florida, that is dedicated to honoring military veterans with a unique design compared to other memorial parks. Dedicated in April of 1995, it’s a fortress-like memorial shaped like the Pentagon with each of its five tips representing a different branch of military service. Each branch is recognized through its flags and emblems. The design and layout offer a powerful and moving walk through history dating back to the revolutionary period.
Veterans Memorial Park Port St Lucie holds more than the pentagon-shaped memorial. There are also featured memorials to the Vietnam Veterans, World War II Memorial, Korean Memorial, and a memorial for those who earned the Purple Heart. More recently (2022) it was decided to add two new memorials honoring those from the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Veterans Memorial Park was chosen out of 50 other potential sites across Florida.
